Privacy policy

If you have found your way here, it is probably because you care about your privacy. Good - so do we. This page explains what happens to your data when you visit dotsconnected.pl, and it is written in plain language on purpose.

Giving us any personal data is always voluntary. Where we process it, we do so only for the purpose you agreed to or that is described below, and you can ask us to update or delete it at any time - see "Your rights" below.

Who is responsible for your data

The controller for dotsconnected.pl is:

The Dots Connected sp. z o.o. Chmielna 25, 00-021 Warszawa, Poland NIP 5252813113 · KRS 0000824062 Email: hello@dotsconnected.pl

What this website is

dotsconnected.pl is a marketing website. It has no user accounts, no login, no comments and no newsletter, and none of its pages submit a form to us. In practice we handle two kinds of data: technical data collected automatically by the hosting infrastructure, and analytics data collected only if you consent to it.

Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted on Microsoft Azure Static Web Apps (West Europe region). As with any web server, Azure records standard technical request logs as part of running the service - things like IP address, browser type and the page requested. Microsoft acts as our data processor for this hosting infrastructure. We use these logs only to operate and secure the site, not to identify individual visitors.

Cookies and Google Analytics 4

This site sets no cookies until you say yes. There are no advertising cookies, no authentication cookies and no personalisation cookies of any kind.

The only cookies this site can ever set are Google Analytics 4's (property G-HXM0ZSGGE6), and only after you actively accept analytics in the cookie banner shown on your first visit. This is implemented using Google's Consent Mode v2: analytics is set to "denied" by default for every visitor, and no request reaches Google and no analytics script runs until you click "Accept". If you click "Decline" (or make no choice), nothing changes - analytics stays off.

Your choice itself is not stored in a cookie. It is stored in your browser's localStorage under the key tdc-consent, which stays on your device and is not sent to any server. You can change your mind at any time using the "Cookie settings" button at the bottom of this page, which reopens the banner, or by clearing this site's browsing data in your browser.

If you consent, Google Analytics 4 then sets its own cookies and processes usage data (pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type) to produce traffic reports for us. Google acts as our data processor for this analytics data and may itself be required to disclose it to third parties where the law requires this.

Booking a call

The "Book an intro call" button on this site links out to a third-party scheduling service, Fantastical (operated by Flexibits Inc.), hosted at fantastical.app. If you use it to book a call, you provide your name, email address and any other details you enter directly to that service, and its own privacy policy - not this one - governs how it handles that information. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of services we merely link to; please check theirs before booking.

Lawful basis for processing

  • Analytics (Google Analytics 4): your consent, Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw it at any time as described above, with no effect on data already processed before withdrawal.
  • Server logs and site security: our legitimate interest in operating and securing the site, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

How long we keep data

Server request logs are retained for as long as needed to operate and secure the site and are not kept indefinitely.

Google Analytics 4 data is retained for the period configured in the GA4 property's own data retention settings. We have not verified the exact period currently configured for this property, so we are not stating a number here rather than guessing one - if you need this figure, contact us and we will confirm it.

Sharing your data

Outside of the processors named above (Microsoft for hosting, Google for analytics, and Flexibits if you choose to book a call), we do not sell or share your data. We will disclose data where the law compels us to - for example to a public authority acting within its legal powers - and in no other circumstances beyond what is described in this policy.

Third-party links

We take care over which sites we link to, but we are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites, including the scheduler described above. If you follow a link away from dotsconnected.pl, we recommend checking that site's own privacy policy.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • have your data erased;
  • restrict or object to our processing of your data;
  • receive your data in a portable format;
  • withdraw consent at any time, with no effect on processing carried out before withdrawal.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@dotsconnected.pl. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Polish supervisory authority, the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych), if you believe our processing of your data breaches the law.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy if the law changes, if the site's technology changes, or to raise our own standard above the legal minimum. The current version will always be published at this address.
